Ultimate Reset - Day 7

The dreaded Sunday…the last day of the weekend…and oh so much to do!  Why didn’t I do any chores yesterday?  Grumble.  Grumble.

I woke up early today.  I considered going back to sleep, but then I figured I could go grocery shopping before all the crazies were out, so I jumped out of bed, threw some clothes on, and headed out.

I was right; it was nice and quiet at the store.  However, there was one thing I overlooked…I should have eaten before going.  Everyone had coffee, the bakery was putting out muffins, and because I was shopping for things that I don’t normally buy, I had to wander around and pass every delicious looking thing in the store!  I was able to restrain myself, but Lesson Learned!

Once I got home I ate oatmeal and fruit for breakfast.  I used to DESPISE oatmeal, but I am doing better with it now.  It’s still not my favorite, but it’s at least edible.

I did some work on Facebook and figured out what I need to prep for the week.  The Ultimate Reset really makes you PLAN.  I have planned out meals before and it is work, but somehow this is way more extensive then any meal planning I have done.  Also, I feel like I have never done so many DISHES in my life!  Thank God for a dishwasher, because there is no way I could have kept up.  I have already done two loads since I started!  Not all of the dishes are from cooking, actually the majority is from storage and transportation to and from work.

Here is a picture of my disaster of a kitchen after one day of meal prep:

A workout sounded like a good idea, so I popped in the Tai Chang video that came with the Reset.  I got about 2 minutes into it and decided it was not for me at all, so I did the Focus T-25 stretch video.  I don’t know if it helped, but it was nice to feel like I was doing something.  I miss Shaun T!  I will definitely be restarting T-25 when I am done with The Ultimate Reset.

I was (and am still) feeling tired, so I took a good nap and then ate lunch.  It was leftover zucchini soup and a salad.  I cheated a little bit to make the soup more palatable – I added Cholula.  It definitely helped a lot!

Something else happened that could be worth noting.  I didn’t finish all my food.  I ate all the soup but actually realized that I was full so I stopped eating.  This is amazing because usually I will tell myself that there’s not that much left and just keep eating until it’s done.   BUT, maybe it’s just because it’s salad and not something delicious, like a burger haha.

Uneaten salad. It doesn't look like a lot, but it actually was all the heavy stuff from the bottom.
My salad dressing is made, rice for tonight and the rest of the week is cooking, the tempeh for dinner is marinating, and I am about to get started on quinoa and chopping veggies for salad…I never said it wasn’t a lot of work!

I am headed off to host at the pizza place and then I will take my supplements and cook dinner when I get home.  Busy day!

I will be posting my Ultimate Reset - week one results tomorrow, so come back and check them out!
